Official Launch of MILO® Fuel For Champions Campaign

Been drinking MILO® for decades, it's the taste that makes people addicted to it. I really, really love drinking MILO®, totally enjoyed it to bits! What's unexpected is I got invited to witness one of the big campaign launch ceremony hosted by MILO® and Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) last week and it really, really was my pleasure to be there. And also, it was my first time visit the National Aquatic Centre!

Not knowing which way to go, I blindly follow the MILO® banners and when I finally reach the ceremony location, it was held at the pool side. Such spacious place and amazing view. I was wondering why do I not think of this place when I'm finding a good place for a swim. Not long after my arrival, here comes YB. Mr. Khairy Jamaluddin, Malaysia's Minister of Youth and Sports, Region Head of Nestlé Malaysia Mr. Alois Hofbauer and other VIPs.

"MILO® and Olympic Council of Malaysia has played a major role in development of Malaysia's sporting arena, focussing on junior and grassroots sports, reaching out to children of all walks of life throughout the country." said Mr. Alois Hofbauer. Next, is the speech by YB. Mr. Khairy, our Minister of Youth and Sports.

“MILO® has played such an integral role in Malaysia’s sporting arena by nurturing and developing the nation’s young talent,” he said. “The commitment from MILO® in driving the nation’s young athletes to greater heights is truly inspirational,” Mr. Khairy further added.

Presented by Yong Shin Min (National Basketball Team), S. Kannathasan (National Relay Runner), Muhammad Hakimi Ismail (National Triple Jump Athlete) and Khoo Cai Lin (National Swimmer) who will be representing Malaysia in the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar.

Many first time experiences for attending this ceremony. My first time visit National Aquatic Centre, first time witnessing a launch ceremony with torch relay, and also, below is one of my favourite sports that I watch - Synchronized swimming, performed to us live by the young gymnasts.

The Smurfs Strawberry Flavored Lip Balm

This night, no moon nor stars can be seen from the sky, while I'm walking around feeling bored, suddenly, I found there's a rope dangling and I saw traces of the mysterious blue living thing climbing on top of the rope as well. I ask myself: Why don't I go for an adventure and see what's there, maybe I'll discover something new~!

After some walk in the mysterious tunnel, then I saw this:

Okay~ I thought The smurfs are just myth and never existed, never thought I'll be able to saw them on my own! They are so tiny and cute and every smurfs are busy doing their own thing. Some are talking to each other, some are walking around, some are doing their daily chores. And then I saw one of the smurfs come towards me and hand me something, but they are so tiny I have low down to listen to what he's saying.

Although I can't meet Smurfette throughout this journey BUT be able to receive what Smurfette likes made up the disappointment I felt.

The packaging is so adorable with Smurfette on it. This gonna be the first Smurfs merchandise that I own.

Look at the balm in nude pink colour.

When I opened the packaging and twist out the lip balm, I can smell how nice the Strawberry aroma is. In nude pink colour balm, it looks more natural and less colouring which somehow concerned me whenever I choose for Strawberry flavored items. Sometimes the colour can be such a turn off, but this lip balm turns out just nice for me!

It is not oily after apply, but lips felt moisturized. Sweet strawberry flavored which gives me a surprise bout the taste after application. This lip balm does not coloured your lips, but leave them as it is in natural colour and moisturized that they look oh-so-kissable!



I'm not sure I saw The Smurfs lip balm at anywhere else, so it is kinda limited in the market, but get one for yourself at:

Ambridge Cottage

Visit Malacca a bit wayyyyyy too often lately, mostly because of work-purpose and once was for a short getaway. Two weeks ago, I went to Malacca (again!) and this time, this lovely shop called Ambridge Cottage leave a great impression in me and I would like to introduce this cute shop with lovely business owners to you. (No, I'm not getting paid for this so yeah.)

Okay, so what does Ambridge Cottage do? There are FOUR services that Ambridge Cottage provide - Professional hair and make-up service, flowers and home decor, homemade cakes and natural handmade soap. For my past visit, my photographer hired one of the director of Ambridge Cottage - Agnes to do my make-up for the photoshoot. Since our photoshoot session divided into two, so for the morning session, we went to Ambridge Cottage early in the morning. That was my first time visit their shop and I love it when I first step into the shop.

Flowers everywhere!!!

They sell all sorts of flowers be it real flowers or artificial flowers, and there are a lot of cute home decorations place everywhere. The flowers they are selling can be custom made into bridal hand bouquet, bridal car decoration, decorations for variety of events, products, gifts and souvenirs. Basically it's a fairytale-like cottage and smells really, really good too due to the natural handmade soap they're selling in their shop as well. I never been to a shop that makes me feels so happy and girlish from the inside.

They come in assorted colours, smells, ingredients, shapes and benefits to our skin too.

I guess this is my first time getting "upclose and personal" with natural handmade soap. I've heard of handmade soap of course, am not that suaku okay, but this is the first time I really get to know more about natural handmade soap, bout their benefits to our skin and of course, I'm in love with all the colourful and cute designs, hence I bought some for my friends as souvenir. They are made from variety of natural oils and butters, infused with herbs, spices and clays and absolutely chemical free!

After a short visit around the shop, Agnes started the makeup process and voila:

That's the first time me and Kevin met Agnes and we felt that we're clicked! She is so lovely and down-to-earth that we immediately feel that we become friends more than just model-makeup artist kinda relationship. My photographer Ivan knew her for 6 years, that's why he wanted her to do my makeup instead of finding other makeup artist. She really knows her thing as she's full of experiences and she's a professional make-up lecturer and teaches Personal/Professional makeup courses at Ambridge Cottage!

Seriously, we love to hang around at Ambridge Cottage, the place is full of laughter and warm. We met Agnes' brother, Eric who is another director of Ambridge Cottage as well as their mother, the lady who bake all the delicious cakes that's selling at Ambridge Cottage. I saw their chocolate cupcake on that day and wanted to buy that, and Agnes was kind enough to give us three cupcakes for free!!! *touched*

Agnes, Eric and their mum run the business at Ambridge Cottage, hence you can feel the place is full of love. Oh ya~ Forgot to introduce another family member of theirs:

Nana a.k.a Kaka a.k.a some other names I forgot that Agnes told me
Yeah, she have a lot of names and we're all wondering why. lol

Nana (I shall stick to this name because I like this name) is such a cute dog that roams around their shop. Little did you know, they do voluntary help out stray dogs who abandoned by their previous owners etc. We need more people like them aren't we? This world would be a much lovelier place than it is now if we can be more like this family who are spreading love to the people and things around them. Hence why the ambience at Ambridge Cottage is always so warm and lovely.

Seriously, I can never stop bragging about how good Ambridge Cottage is, how good their services are and how kind Agnes and her family members are. Happy 5th Birthday Xuan Xuan

31st of August, Xuan Xuan's birthday, and this year marked his 5th year on earth. As usual, I will go to Ipoh and celebrate his birthday with all the relatives and Xuan's cousin sisters and brothers, the more the merrier, right?

And this year, the theme is Minions. Can't believe how updated Xuan Xuan is, he plays Minions Rush, Subway Surfer, watch Running Man, knows more bout stuff that's in trend than I do. Sometimes I do think I'm the one who lives inside a cave and knows nothing that's popular nowadays. So since he wants everything to be minions-themed, so I might as well dress him up as a minion too, even though he doesn't want it and I have to force him to get out from the room after I dressed him up hahahaha. Poor thing.

The cake's picture was preordered because have to custom-made the sugar icing photo of minions. I was walking round and round inside the cake shop wondering what flavour of the cake should I choose. Chocolate cake was out of my list because I tried it the day before and it wasn't good, so I was having a hard time deciding between Black Forest and some other flavours, but in the end I chose black forest because the mixture of chocolate and berries, should be nice and suits both adult and children taste isn't?

You know how Black Forest cake usually looked like right? Black, with chocolate flakes on top, and cherries as well as decoration. So I imagine that the cake I preorder will be something black with the minion picture in the middle, but when we open the cake box and the cake appears to be like this:

Forgot to take photo with the birthday boy that day, but we had fun and the cake was delicious! I'm glad he enjoyed his birthday weekend and it was a fun-filled holiday. As I've said, how time flies and he's 5 years old now, there's nothing I wish for him than to be happy and stay healthy all the time.
