EAT THAI, VISIT THAILAND 2019

Travel to Thailand has became my annual travel plans because seriously, who doesn't love Thailand with everything this beautiful country have to offer? Beautiful sceneries, gastronomical food even it's just street food, inspiring arts and crafts, my friends were funnily saying that "Reiko, Thailand is your second home."

Laughter is gonna accompany us if we were to travel together

It was my honour to be invited to Tourism Authority of Thailand, Malaysia (TAT)'s "EAT THAI, VISIT THAILAND 2019" campaign that was held at Mr. Tuk Tuk at The Starling, Damansara Utama.

Named after the most popular transportation in Thailand, Mr. Tuk Tuk started its business in Malaysia since year 2015.

Thai street food is a MUST when visiting Thailand, from Tomyam to Thai barbecue, I could have Thai street food as my everyday meal when I was in Thailand. Mr. Tuk Tuk offers quality Thai street food in Malaysia and it was halal certified. In conjunction with this tourism campaign, we were among the first try out one of Mr. Tuk Tuk's five new dishes and one new beverages that were created for the occasion. They were iced thai lemongrass with crispy waterchestnut pearls, fried tofu with basil leaves, Thai seafood otak-otak, Thai fresh oyster with lime sauce, Thai pumpkin custard and Thai prawn salad with lemongrass.

There's even a live cooking demo of how to make your own prawn salad with lemongrass! The best part? We get to do it our own too!

When Thai food is one of the objective of Malaysians travel to Thailand (4 million visitors from Malaysia in 2018! Highest in TAT-KL's record!! Wow!) Tourism Authority of Thailand released a new edition of MICHELIN food guide in 2019, that introduces wide variety of food from MICHELIN star restaurants, street food, HALAL food and may more that reaches from Phuket and Phang-Nga.

Mr. Tuk Tuk were so generous they prepared a variety of scrumptious Thai food for all the guests who attended the event:

Mango sticky rice, a must eat if you visit Thailand!

Hence introducing this EAT THAI, VISIT THAILAND 2019 campaign in collaboration with Mr. Tuk Tuk is the best promotion because we can eat and win great prizes such as a FREE trip to Bangkok for 2 person with 3 days 2 nights hotel stay, luggages, handbags and Mr. Tuk Tuk dining vouchers.

And I'm one of the lucky winner in the Instagram Contest held on the spot and I won a luggage! OMG! It totally fits for a 3 days 2 nights trip to Bangkok! I really have to plan another trip with my friends although I just went in January. I just love the vibes of Thailand so much!

This collaboration between tourism and restaurants in Malaysia begins from March 20th - April 30th 2019 and will be held at all eight outlets of Mr. Tuk Tuk in Malaysia, location as below:

  • Setia City Mall
  • Gamuda Walk
  • The Gardens
  • The Starling Mall
  • Sunway Pyramid
  • Sunway Velocity
  • Empire City

Thank you Tourism Authority of Thailand and Mr. Tuk Tuk for creating such a joyful event and having me! Remember to dine at Mr. Tuk Tuk from 20th March - 30th April and stand a chance to visit Amazing Thailand this year! I'm gonna travel to Thailand again definitely, hopefully soon!
