The Red Beanbag

Last time when Peiyue came back from Philippines, she asked me where is The Red Beanbag, I told her it's at Publika and we promised to visit the place when she come back again. Yes, we did fulfill our promises and finally visited the cozy lil restaurant cafe few days ago.

It was located not inside the main building of Publika, but at the Block A, above Dr. Cafe. We reach there late afternoon, and we haven't had anything for lunch yet but too bad, the kitchen was closed from 4pm - 6pm, so we're having our meal in a backwards sequence. Coffee → Desserts → Main Course → Appetizers. lol.

The interior is full of wood elements and the lights were dim, cozy place, perfect for some small gatherings with friends. As I mentioned above, by the time we reach the kitchen was closed, I wanted something to fill my tummy before gastric strikes, so we ordered dessert, the RBB(Red Beanbag) recommended one of course - Cherrie Tart with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was so oh-my-god delicious!!! The cherrie tart was warm and tasteful, pair with the creamy vanilla ice cream, it was one of the nicest dessert I've had recently!

I ordered Icy Mocha Chocolate Yaya and Peiyue's was hot Mocha. I was kinda disappointed when my Mocha Chocolate turned out to be so much bitter, a bit different than the Mocha Chocolate I had at other cafe. When I consult one of their waiter bout the drinks bitterness, they said the bitterness was normal, don't compare their Mocha with Nescafe ones as Nescafe ones are fake. I was like: Huh!? I don't drink Nescafe's Mocha… lol. So I kept silent and asked for sugar syrup, find their remarks a bit funny.

Anyway, we waited till their kitchen open for operation and ordered our appetizers. As usual, I opted for RBB's recommended - Creamy Wild Mushroom Soup and Fowl Luck while Peiyue opted for Chicken burger which I forgot the name. RBB have one of the most delicious mushroom soup in town and the Fowl Luck was superbly delicious as well. Fowl Luck is the grilled chicken thigh and drumstick with herbs and sides are baked potatoes and mushrooms, totally my kind of main. Peiyue's chicken burger looks so nice and the portion is too big for a girl that she only ate half of the bread.

We chatted till the shop's closing time, that was a 5 hours++ of talking. I think we pretty much talked about anything and everything. I can't really remember what's the pricing for each and every thing we ordered but the total sum of our bill was RM107+. Kinda pricey I think, but we definitely made the best out of it, girls talk for 5hours++ that worth way more than what we paid, don't you think so?

Can't wait to try out new dining places with Peiyue again. Any good places you can recommend?

While some of us are enjoying the food, some were lead to the cozy sofas to start the spa session.

Is pampering time!

Warm water with orange slices to soak our feet.

Lisa and Jean were among the first to try out the Orange Coffee Footsie Spa.

The orange coffee footsie spa is a soak plus foot scrub and massage. The scrubs are using aromatic coffee to exfoliate all the dead skin cells of our feet. Masseurs at Vila Manja Spa are so skillful that both of my tired feet are literally on cloud nine that day.

Coffee and Orange smells filled up the room, makes us feels so good!

Is my turn~! Yayy!

This bowl of coffee scrub smells so good that makes all of us wanna drink it. lol.

That was the best foot massage I ever had, even better than those I experienced at Koh Samui. The strength of my masseur is so good, the scrub and massage did covered all my legs and my nerves were so relax after the scrub and massage my legs never felt so good. If you like strengthful massage like I do, you will love it.

Hands massage is next!

Needless to say - skillful hand massage!

Be Ready 4 The Next Galaxy

Last Saturday I went to Low Yat main entrance to catch Samsung Mobile Malaysia's S4 roadshow to see their amazing performance. I was stunned by their brilliant performance, their singing skill is so good and I love the orchestra team and the beats mix.

If you missed their two days performances at various shopping malls last week, you can check out a video my friend Fei has captured here.

The Talented Acapella Singers

Throughout their performances, they altered the Samsung Galaxy S4's features and designs into the catchy lyrics. If you don't already know, this lightest and incredibly-wide Full-HD Super AMOLED screen Galaxy S4 is going to hit the city this week. Dual Shot, Drama Shot, Group Play music sharing are among the features I'm looking forward to experience and of course, for someone who likes travel, S Translator is one helpful new feature installed in the phone, there are language barriers no more.

Allow me to repeat once again - Be Ready 4 The Next Galaxy

Get ready to experience the Life Companion - Samsung Galaxy S4 at major shopping outlets and Samsung Centres near you this week. Do watch out for attractive promotions and offers at various Telco companies too.

Are you ready to welcome your new  life companion? :)

Malacca Dangerous

Just to be clear, this post's title is an adaptation from the movie "Bangkok Dangerous". Just a personal thing, nothing to do with Malacca's current crime rate or environment, do take note. :)

It is quite hectic when we only have so less time to complete visit all the good food places at Malacca. The first night of our arrival, we decided to visit Portuguese Settlement and also night bar at Jonker Street, although it was a Thursday and we already aware that there are so few happening place available during night time around Malacca.

My first time to Portuguese Settlement and I love the place so much! Dining beside the sea with friendly restaurant owner, although the taste of the food may be a little bit too extreme to me. We decided to try Stall no.6 - Big Benz after read the tips in Foursquare, the food was good! We ordered Baked Fish and Fried Brinjal, the baked fish was tad bit spicy to me. It is so hilarious that they ordered Mango juice there but the taste is kinda funny and three of them can't finish a cup of juice. lol. Luckily I ordered a cup of Lime juice instead, but super sourish ones.

After dinner we decided to chill at the end of the bridge located just beside the restaurants, it was a starry night and the sea breeze is just way too comfortable! We stargazed and chatted, then there's this group of youngsters came over and next to our group. While we're busy chatting, suddenly there's an aunty started talking in a loud note to one of the youngster, then they started an argument in front us. We just stunned there not knowing what to do. We kept quiet while some of them walked away and some remain seated there.

Laogao accidentally looked at their direction and he got yelled at. That guy shouted: What the fuck are you looking? You got any problem? Laogao answered in a polite manner saying "nothing." Then the youngster and the rest of the gang just left the place. I was kinda scared that they will beat us up or something. Luckily no. Phew~! I think they are from the Portuguese village based on the English they communicate.

We decided to consume another round of food before we head back to hotel for a quick shower. Capitol Satay Celup is our choice when it comes to supper. You have no idea how much we ate despite we just had our dinner not long ago. Had a lot of seafood tofu and meatballs, Elise's choice of food and mine are so similar. lol.

After a quick shower back at hotel, we decided to hit Jonker Street for drinks. Laogao, who drives us around during the trip, wasn't realltly familiar with all the roads around, and I'm the GPS for this trip.

While we're finding parking around Jonker Street, we reached this cross junction. While Laogao's driving noticed there's a couple who walked so near to the right side of his car he had to watch out for not hitting them but he forgot that it was a cross junction and there were cars coming from the left.

I literally screaming "car! car! car!!!" and closed my eyes because I'm so afraid the car will hit us and the next thing Elise said was "Oh My God it's police car." We're doomed, or at least Laogao is. We're being stopped aside and Laogao have to go down and answer some questions, and of course summoned for driving recklessly. I guess this incident kinda defect our mood and throughout the drinking session we didn't have really much to talk about…

Until one of the bartender came over and chat with us and showed us some bartender tricks. We went to Eleven bistro introduced by my friend and it was really a good choice. The bartender called Gen (or you can call him Bangkali, as what he told us) is so funny and talkative that we had some really good time at the bar and literally forgot bout our nearly-car-crash-incident.

As you can see, our Malacca trip is kinda adventurous we got kinda worn out on that night. But little did I know, the scariest incident has yet to happen. Will write more bout this trip soon!
