My January Nail by Re Birth Nail Paradise

2016 has been pretty good towards me so far and I'm so happy to say that I'm officially sponsored by Re Birth Nail Paradise for manicure+pedicure service! Woohoo!!! No more fugly nails from now on! Since it's not Chinese New Year yet, so I decided to go for the most talk about nail art recently - The Glass Nail design. I've seen some of the designs on internet and it has captured my heart at first sight. Been always wanting to have them on my nails and finally I got it! But little did I know it is such a time-consuming progress as the manicurist have to cut off the shimmer paper into parts in order to stick them on my nails like shattered glass. 

Manicurist been patiently sticking the shimmer paper on my nails, thank you so much I feel so paiseh for such time-consuming nail art.

Did my nails in soft gel form so UV light to dry them off is a must. 

My nails are finally done after 2 and half hours and I'm super duper happy with the latest manicure design on both my hands and feet!

Product Review: mAi Dark Mocha Specialty Coffee Beverage

When I say I've been blogging for 10 years, it does mean that I'm no longer in my early 20s or even consider "young" in many aspects. It hits me hard when I come to realize that my metabolism has slowly decrease for the past 2 year to where I am today. I don't want but to admit that I gained weight and inches of my body size has increased is actually killing me and my career. 

I'm not an exercise person and I have shitty stamina. I can go walking on a treadmill for half an hour and made it till 2km - 3km which sucks badly I know, and I don't walk on a treadmill often. Since I've been in this blogging industry for a long time, I knew there were hundreds of slimming products in the market that's been craving for attention and some even has very bad side-effect on consumers which I don't want it to happen on me as well. After I was reassured that this coffee contained 100% au-naturale ingredients, I gave it a try.

I'm a coffee person, which made my acceptance towards this specialty coffee easily than other slimming products. After understanding that this coffee are made from premium ingredients and not chemicals that could harm your body, I'm almost half sold.

Consume all the oil and cheese you want but sugar is the key of all the fats that stored in your body. Kinda glad that mAi Dark Mocha doesn't taste sweet, otherwise it would've taste artificial.



Since I don't take it everyday, but the effect I got is quite amazing. I have people asking me whether I've slimmed down, due to fittings and stuff and people I'm working closely with have noticed that I've lost some inches. That's not even pairing the coffee with the advisable daily workout, imagine if you do exercise while drinking this coffee, how much KGs you would've shed in a month!

There are no symptoms of diarrhea and insomnia throughout the whole coffee routine, and I feel glad that it actually made difference on my appearance which shed of some extra fats that I didn't wanted especially my belly area. Restaurant Ruby, Pudu, Kuala Lumpur

I never consider I am one of those who would follow viral Facebook post and just go with the hype person, in fact I think I'm that kind of people who seldom follows mainstream stuff. Then one day I saw my friends been sharing this restaurant that sells traditional Chinese dessert and it gone viral like mad! Didn't thought bout it much but my friend Fei asked me to try it out so I was like why not? 

Then there I am, at Pudu's Jalan Kancil having traditional Chinese dessert with my friend. This Restaurant Ruby is famous because of the viral Facebook posts which shows that their recipe handed down generations to generations till today. They are famous throughout asia, and is the Black Sesame Paste King. And what got people's attention is, they claimed that if you don't like their dessert, you don't need to pay. Wowowowowow who do we got here!

Me and Fei reach the place around 7pm-ish and I was told that black sesame paste only left few bowls and we have to wait peanut paste to cook which will be done around 9pm-ish. LOL. Since we got not next appointment on that day so we decided to sit and wait till we tried everything!

Ancestral Recipe Black Sesame Paste

I like black sesame paste for health reason as black sesame is good for our body in many ways, especially strengthen our hair roots and give shine to our hair (although mine is bleached dead lol but it's still growing so I will need nutrients for it either way). It's kinda hard to find black sesame paste in KL city, and I find this bowl of black sesame paste taste mediocre. It is thick, but it doesn't have the aroma of black sesame. Tad bit disappointed because I had high hopes for ancestral recipe. meh.

Steamed Egg Custard

I didn't know they sell egg custard as nobody mentioned this in any post before. The restaurant owner steamed limited amount of egg custard every few hours and if you're lucky you'll get one. It is all about the right timing when it comes to visiting Restaurant Ruby lol. This egg custard gives me weird feeling because I had delicious cold ones before but steaming hot ones is my first time. It tastes sweet, not too milky but smooth. Overall not a bad one I think. 

Peanut Paste

Last but not least, after almost 3 hours of waiting we finally got one bowl of peanut paste. It seems that people who visits this restaurant know when it is to come as when the owner are almost done preparing peanut paste, there's a long queue at the restaurant stretch all the way to the corridor. Most of them bought for takeout and just got some left for dine-ins. I really dislike the taste of this dessert, it just tasted sweet that's all, no aroma nor taste of peanut, big no-no if you ask me but I'm wondering why are people queuing up for this.



It wasn't really a pleasant dessert experience but it was a good catch-up session with Fei. To me I guess sometimes the food isn't the point but the people that you dine with, worth the time and made the dining experience a pleasant one.

Coach Malaysia Grand Opening, Sunway Pyramid

Thanks to Sheena, managed to catch the latest store reopening of Coach Malaysia right at Sunway Pyramid. It is better, luxurious with a modern twist instilled boutique store with the brand new Modern Luxury Concept straight from New York to Kuala Lumpur.

The store is strongly in touch with the brand's history, with notches of New York traditional buildings concept and also the warmth feeling of a home. This year marks Coach's 75th anniversary and with the whole new Modern Luxury Concept retail store, customers are able to feel more connected and satiated towards this American luxury fashion brand.

Of course, events are like these are good catch up session for friends and acquaintances. Managed to catch up with James and long-time-no-see Alvin and chatted so much during the event. Very chilling and fun. Free flow of champagnes going around and the waiters just keep on pushing food into our face! They serve super nice chocolate dessert!!! Eat all the desserts!!!

The whole store is packed with customers right after the ribbon cutting ceremony and people are crazily buying bags and stuff. Guess must be Chinese New Year approaching and we all needed a new bag to go with it. Anyway, here some previews of the latest Spring Summer collection. I really love the men's corner stuff, all those camel brown coloured items catches my eyes especially them backpacks!

Behind-The-Scenes: Shiseido Innovator Awards 2015

It's been a while since I last blog about my work at modeling industry, it is not that I stopped working, but more like I stopped feeling awed by it. Everything feels the same, not physically but psychologically, it feels like modeling has lost its magic to me. So in order to pick it up from where I left, I think by blogging bout my work will make me at least pay some attention to my work where I could discover the tiniest wonders and hopefully this might sparks up my work life. 

Although I don't have to sit through traffic jam on weekdays to work, but sometimes we get ungodly hours call time(standby time), some as early as 5a.m. in the morning where birds aren't even awake! But luckily this time round, our call time is 7:30p.m,  it gave me a chance where I could see the beautiful dawn which I haven't done so in a while.

Good weather spotted ahead!

This is the second time I modeled for Shiseido Innovator Awards and twice also I'm with Lois Lee, one of Malaysia's well-known hairstylists which services royalties and big shots in the country and often travel around the world along with them to do hair service for them. It is his distinctive style in creating hairstyles that has won him the hearts of many and also, Shiseido Malaysia who would like to present his style on stage.

Every year Shiseido got this Innovator Awards going on, and not just Malaysia, they had it at other Asia countries such as Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China etc. Winners will be send to Japan to attend an exclusive-invites only all-expenses-paid trip. There are so many participants for this contest and those who stands out from the rest truly represents the innovative spirit that Shiseido Malaysia been searching for.

It is not every show that model will get nicely treated with huge prep room, holding area and even food. Some models even encountered valuables stolen by outsiders because there's no proper prep room and holding room for models to place their belongings. Well, let's say it is not always La Vie en Rose like you see on stage.

Cris Yong is the stylist-in-charge of this show and Chu Fan, one of my favourite makeup artist is doing our makeup. I worked with them few times before and they were fun to work with. You can see their sparks of creativity ignite here and there, new ideas keep popping up and hence you never know what you'll get! It is fun when working spontaneously with people like them.

Wardrobe fittings

Beauty Creative Team is about creating something visually stunning using Shiseido products and this year's team is Red, White and Black, the very distinguishable colours of Shiseido as well as Japanese culture. Our team represents the red, hence our wardrobe all in stunning red, very much like the Rising Sun of Japan's national flag.

I look very much like traditional Japanese doll with a modern twist that a bit looks eerily surreal. One thing I like about modeling job is that you don't know what type of outfit/looks that you'll get, which means that each job is a sort of adventure, that you have to work it no matter what. There are times that I dislike certain makeup because it looks odd on me but as a professional model, it is my job to accept it and shine through it even you know it is not your best look, but you just gotta do it to show your professionalism in this field. 

I sounded old with all these blabberings. LOL.

Honestly you have no idea how panic we are when we did the show because the clogs we are wearing is utterly big for the staircase and we prayed so hard that no one will trip down the staircase. And luckily we all managed to nailed it! YASSS!!! The ambience of Beauty Creative Team showcase is so stunning by just listening to the music it gave me goosebumps, it was so beauty in a sense it is an art. I'm grateful to be in a show as stunning as this, thanks to my agent Manne too who proposed me as model for this show. Thank you for keep looking after us models and never let others to bully us during work. It was a pleasure working with Manne.




Last but not least, work in modeling field can be joyful as well as you will meet all sorts of people from different places and countries and some might even be your friends or create future opportunity for you. So happy to meet all my friends this time round which some I haven't see them for a year since our last show, and some new friends I made throughout this show, hope to see all of your friendly faces soon.




It is year 2016 now, and I hope this year will be another fruitful year for me in modeling industry! And also I pray that I can keep this "behind-the-scenes" posts go on as long as I could!!!
