Time to Switch

After the release of Switch Mercury and Switch Star phone, SCSL has recently launched another two new model of phones:

SCSL Switch Pluto Mi406 (left)

SCSL Switch Mars Mi450 (right)

I am thankful for being invited to SCSL's media launch of these two new phone model which held at Oriental Banquet, Petaling Jaya. To be honest, I am so excited yet nervous because this is the first time I got to attend a tech gadget event and more so, to review one of the phone model! Thanks CSL, PR and Tammy for this wonderful opportunity!

Mr. Calvin Wan, Head of Device from CSL gave us a short briefing and slideshow presentation about what these two new phones are about!

Both new phone models are integrated with Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 1.2GHz Dual Core chip, it's not doubt that the phone response quickly and less laggy. Just like the previous series, these two phones are Dual Sim Dual Standby Capability ( 3G + 2G), I find it very useful for urban peeps who owns more than one sim card, it totally make phone number switching easier.

After the presentation, all of us are presented with demo phones and we get to try out some of the cool features of these phones on the spot such as the SCSL Switch Augmented Reality Function which totally amazed us with the 3D Graphics of the phones. This Augmented Reality app will totally change our browsing experience and let us visualize how things will look like in real life.

 Isn't these awesome? These are some of the many features you can get from SCSL Switch Mars and Pluto series. As I mentioned above, multitasking using this phone isn't something hard with its powerful dual core cpu chip, and of course, its 512RAM, 4GB ROM (external storage support up to 32GB) is a breeze for those who needs bigger space for their phone usage.




I chose the Switch Pluto Mi406 as my "2-weeks-phone", I gotta tell you, the performance of this phone is better than my expectation!

Comes with Blue/Grey leather pouch and 2 pieces of custom-sized screen protector, what else the box include are:

So based on your liking, you can change the back casing of your phone according to your mood!
To me, I like the white casing more.

The size of the phone is height: 116mm, width: 62.4mm and depth: 11.2mm, which fits perfectly to my palm, such a breeze for single handed typing and browsing. With its 4-inches WVGA LCD Capacitive Touchscreen, the clarity of the image of screen is clear enough and the colours are vibrant as well.

What girls mind the most of the phone they uses? Yup, that's right - CAMERA! SCSL Switch Pluto comes with 5.0 Megapixels AF with LED flash for its main, rear camera and 0.3 Megapixels for its front camera, and also supports up to 30 fps video recording function. I've been using the phone and its battery life span is better than what I expect. It can last 3 days without charging under minimal usage. Loud and clear ring tones, accurate touchscreen sensitivity, running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, I find it's such a good phone for those who doesn't need a high end type of phone for daily usage.
