Zakka Life

Zakka has been something that I like to look at since I got in touch with Japan culture when I was young, but I always have the impressions that Zakka stuff are for "decoration" purpose and tad bit useless. It is only since I started writing journal only I realize Zakka are very useful and can be used in many ways to liven up things around your life. Isn't it is what life is all about? Appreciate small things in life and never take anything for granted.

So I googled up "Zakka" and found this explaination in Wikipedia - Zakka (from the Japanese 'zak-ka'（雑貨）or 'many things') is a fashion and design phenomenon that has spread from Japan throughout Asia. The term refers to everything and anything that improves your home, life and appearance. Zakka has also been described as "the art of seeing the savvy in the ordinary and mundane". So there you go, a more profound idea of Zakka and not silly like me who didn't know how to appreciate zakka stuff before. 

Hence nowadays everywhere I go I surely will look out for zakka stuff, and I'm so happy that I found one Zakka store at Ipoh, which located at Sekeping Kong Heng, which is called Am Zakka Store. The store sells cute earrings, unique necklaces and bags, handmade stuff, planners and all. If you happen to drop by around old town area of Ipoh, go to Am Zakka Store and have a look and you maybe will go crazy and shop until you drop, just like how I did.

Can't get enough of stickers in my life. I've been collecting stickers for my whole life and I only wanted more and more! Them stickers are so cute and perfect fit to use with my journal, plus it is a type of good gift to friends who love stickers as well. 

Blank notebook

Am Zakka Store sells blank notebook which you can design the cover and inner pages yourself with all those "Ipohian culture" stamps such as buildings of Ipoh train station, coffee cup, town hall buildings etc. Bought this notebook as a gift for my dear friend and designed the cover by myself. I hope she likes it. 

Velvet Bunny Phone Pouch

Red is so not my colour but this is too adorable to say no, plus it's plastic front cover is adaptable for touch sensor of iPhone screen, how can I say no! LOL! It could be a very pretty accessories for this upcoming Chinese New Year I guess. 

White Rabbit Sweet Clutch

This clutch design caught my eye when I first look at it and I was like "OMG it reminds me of the white rabbit sweets that every Chinese family that will buy during Chinese New Year! I got to have this for my "ANOTHER" Chinese New Year clutch hahahaha. I'm sure you will not miss this purchase if you ate plenty of this when you're a kid!

Sapling hair clip

Still feels a bit surreal that it's year 2016 already, and things has been going pretty good lately. I surely does hope it's a good year ahead for me and definitely hope myself will be growing stronger and stronger, like the sapling that I always clip my hair that in the end will grow into a big tree!
