ALTHEA PORE PURIFYING SERUM CLEANSER

I think most of you already know that some of my makeup, skincare and hair care products are from Althea Korea, currently no.1 K-Beauty online portal that has the best price policy and authenticity guarantee on every products selling on their website.

When I first got this I was like "how do I use this? It looks like serum and cleanser at the same time, so what is it!!!" And after reading the description and use it for a while, I truly understand the meaning of "Serum Cleanser".

This serum-like cleanser combines both effects of serum and cleanser (very confusing I know). It's combining the best of both world to ensure skin stays hydrated while we're doing the cleansing. A lot of cleanser strips away the moisture of skin when cleansing, leaving skin feeling tight and dehydrated. With Althea's Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser, my skin feels restored to its natural state!

 

Mainly made of mint leaf extract, jojoba seed oil and tea tree leaf extract, this cleanser cools down my skin and soothes irritations, moisturises my skin while it's doing the cleansing and purify my skin with its anti-bacterial agents. It removes dirt and dead skin cell without causing any irritations. 

There are 2 ways to use Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser:

• Hand (light makeup days)
• Cotton Pad + Hand (heavy makeup days)

I've used both method (depending on my makeup situation) and I was surprised how easily it is for this serum cleanser to remove my waterproof eyeliner + mascara! 

First, I'm gonna show you the heavy makeup removing method using cotton pad:

1. Pour some serum cleanser on cotton pad

2. Gently place soaked cotton pad on your eye makeup. Rubbing is not needed.

3. Voila! My eye makeup comes off just like that!

But there's one thing that I'm not sure of is the ph level. Usually when ph level is balanced (not acidic not alkalic), the products won't be eye stinging. However when I remove my eye makeup, the products stung my eyes badly and I had to rinse my eyes with running water. Was wondering anyone encounter the same issues as I do? It does not cloud my eyes like some remover does but it does hurt a bit tho. 

After remove my eye makeup, then I dampen my face and proceed with applying small amount of serum cleanser on my skin, gently massage in circular movement before rinsing it off my face with water.

When I first pour the serum cleanser out onto my palm, I was amazed by the texture. It's not oil and it's not water, to be exact the serum cleanser feels lightweight than oil but heavier than water! I guess that's the dual moisture cell system that locks the serum in the cleanser, giving it a special texture that I can't find words to describe. (I spent quite some time playing with the serum actually because of its cute feeling texture hahahahahahah)

I love the after feeling of using Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser. My skin feels refreshed, purified and moisturised at the same time that I MIGHT notice that my enlarged pores are somewhat not that visible. Is it my illusion I wonder? I think I might need to continue using this product to see if my pores are actually getting smaller!

MILK FOR YOUR SKIN: ALTHEA MILK PEEL

I always love a good ol' big breakfast style when it comes to my first meal of the day. A little bit of everything, from salad to toast with butter, cereals with milk, bacons, scramble eggs to one cup of fresh squeeze juice, one cup of coffee and a cup of milk.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019 to all of you! It's been awhile since I last updated my blog because there are so many events and parties happening for the past few weeks I barely have time to touch my computer or sleep on my own bed lololol. So there's gonna be a series of backlog posts coming up so do bear with me! 

First post of the year dedicated to Butterfly Project Malaysia, a blogging community that I'm with since years ago and I am so happy to be the one witnessing the growth of this young community to now 6k members on Facebook! Each and every event I went under Butterfly Project Malaysia never fail to amaze me as our mamasan Tammy really put in all the effort to make sure we enjoy the event/party and always give 200% to people who ask for her guidance.

Butterfly Project Malaysia's 2018 Christmas Party was held at ChubbeeCloud gift experience store & cafe which is located at Damansara Uptown, it's just a few minutes walk from Uptown Parking building, so needless to worry about parking space. Aside, ChubbeeCloud has some interesting instagrammable spots which you and your friends will enjoy!

Both of us are missing Jean right now, who always attend event with us but now no more because she moved to Japan T-T

We took gazillions of photos that day because it's rare for us to attend an event together and that we're both styled up nicely. I even went to dye my hair that morning before the event at FIXX salon! Thank you so much to Kok Wai, my hairstylist for the magical hair colour and hairstyle that suits this theme party! Everybody is literally shook with my hair colour and I forgot how many compliments I got due to my hair colour! Thank you!

This dessert cart was made by AskJoey and I was like: how does one make all these cute lil desserts, so dreamy and magical???!!!!

 

I've been looking back at this series of photos again and again, amazed by the skill of dessert making as well as dessert table styling. AskJoey's skill is super duper pro, it makes me feel like I wanna throw a party with super magical dessert table styling like above this year!!! I shall see if my budget allows me to do a birthday party lolololol.

What a wonderful Christmas party we've had, and I've known a few new, young bloggers who are currently working hard in blogging as well. Product Review: Althea Petal Velvet Powder

Makeup routine has been a big part of my life since many years ago, if I'm not feeling particularly lazy on that day, I would definitely wear makeup if there's any activities that involves going out from my house main door and meet people. I like to my appearance be beautiful ones and leaves strong impression on others whenever I go to events, hence my makeup always changes style from time to time, and needless to say, the brands that I've tried are countless (that some don't even exist anymore!).

I used to think "Loose powder are obviously a waste of money!" Because of all the brands I've used, none of them gave me the oil control or less cakey looks. Some loose powder is real "loose" and have no whatsoever function over my combination oily skin. Hence I've ditched loose powder from my makeup essentials for a very long time, until I try...

Its oil control function keeps my makeup without melting even on a hot sunny day and I don't "glow" in the end of the day.

I guess most of the oily combination skin type girl have the same issue like mine: translucent powder with glossy/shiny particles for dewy skin effect will make my skin look like it's dripping oil in the end of the day. Hence after I wear Althea's Petal Velvet Powder a few times, I'm madly in love with it.
