Product Review: Kracie Hadabisei Super Moist Facial Mask

Weather has been extremely hot at Malaysia these days that I feel thirsty for most of time throughout the day. I cannot imagine how my skin take it when I head out for lunch in these hot afternoon, and I would really, really like to reward my skin for all the battle it's doing to combat with these vicious heat hence I chose Hadabisei Super Moist Facial Mask to moisturized my skin at night.

I've heard many compliments of this facial mask and finally get to witnessed it myself. If you're still asking should you put on a facial mask? The answer is always yes, as a good facial mask will hydrates skin, remove excess oil, improve appearance of pores and brighten skin complexion. MAZE, Menara Lien Hoe, Tropicana

In my secondary school Form 3 year, I've spent time reading famous english literature/gothic novella "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" which story setting is in the 1800s and truly amazed by the settings and also the story plot. This novella has such a huge impact that it has become a part of a language with the very phrase "Jekyll and Hyde" which means person who is vastly different in character from one situation to another. 

And I couldn't help but thought of this phrase when I visited MAZE some time earlier.

Coffee saloon by day, gin parlour by night (which is the first gin parlour in Malaysia by the way), MAZE's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" concept of transforming an elegant cake-and-coffee haven to the European velvet-cloaked glamourous gin parlour is mesmerizing. Located above CHAZE (MAZE's sister restaurant), even the entrance to MAZE is a tad bit mysterious as customers will have to access to the stair located inside CHAZE in order to reach MAZE (hence the name MAZE, geddit?)

Coated in velvet and fur with a touch of sophisticated decoration here and there, thanks to Jean for the invitation that me, Fei and Lisa were to enjoy our late afternoon here with high tea sets, gossips and laughter. It's been a while since I last saw both Jean and Lisa hence this is definitely a perfect timing to catch up what's going on in each other's life.

While escaping from the afternoon heat of Malaysia weather, we're savouring the "Fruitful Summer" high tea set that comes with tea of choice/ long black or latte. I really like the name of the tea set, feels that what I'm wearing is totally in synced with the theme. Here's our choice of beverages that comes with high tea set:

My favourite from the tea set is actually soft butter croissant sans salted egg yolk dip (it is too "sandy" for my liking). The croissant taste buttery and soft ( maybe some like your croissant crispy?) that each and every bite is heavenly even without the dip. I can eat 3 of that I think lol. Macaroons tasted delicious too as it is not too sweet yet filled with creamy smooth chocolate cream fillings. Yums.

We literally spent more than two hours at MAZE, chatting and eating those handmade sweet and savoury delicacies and photo-taking, creating memories on this fine day to remember. The dim yellow lighting, heavy velvet curtains, comfy huge sofas are making all of us relax and enjoying the moment. Keep seeing waiters walk over and ask if the girls wanna refill their TWG tea, which is very attentive and friendly. 

Sadly we're unfit to try out MAZE's gin cocktails as they offered add-on cocktails for just RM26. Most of us are alcohol-intolerance(me and Fei) and Jean were having migraine previously hence better restrict alcohol intake. It will be awesome for gin lovers to visit MAZE and try out some of the gin from over 100 gin labels that come from all over the world.

Product Review: Wanderlust Things Unicorn Face Brush

Some of us do believe in fairies, mermaids and unicorns, even when we're adults. I do believe in magical fairytales and that got my friends dissing me for being childish and unrealistic. Life is tough for everybody and I guess each of us lost track of that magical feeling that we once own when we're a child. 

I don't wanna lose this magical feeling I have inside of me everytime I saw beautiful scenery of mother nature, interesting stuff and happenings, surrounded by amazing people, listen to music that gives me goosebumps etc... I wanna be someone who appreciate small little things in life with passion burning inside of me. 

And I'm thankful to have these magical unicorn face brushes to remind me everyday that how amazing I am and how beautiful I'm gonna be. I guess this is the magic of these unicorn brushes that make all the girls on internet goes crazy. This totally break the internet as I've seen many makeup artists and internet celebrities were sharing and asking this unicorn face brushes.

I got these brushes from Wanderlust Things at Butterfly Project's 4th Birthday Party, me and my friends go all "OH-EM-GEEEEE" when we saw this inside our birthday bag! This set of unicorn face brushes contains:

I've been applying my makeup with my fingers all along because I'm unable to find suitable brushes that I feel comfortable with and are soft that don't hurt my skin. Some synthetic bristles brushes are so harsh I can feel stinging feelings when I try them on that's why I don't really bother looking for a set. Then come this set of unicorn face brushes that totally change my perception on brushes, them bristles as soft as unicorn fur!!!

Trying them on, I've done my another makeup look using these brushes and I will call this look - Unicorn Makeup look!

Summer Girl

When I went to Melvin's newly open Atelier Prive Melson designer boutique located at Intermark for a shoot, I fell in love with this dress at the first sight and I was thinking: I'm gonna get this dress for my next event! Then guess what? It's all about attracting positive energy into your life and law of attraction really does work, I was invited to a grand media launch and my wishful thinking of wearing this dress came true!

My casual style consist of tee shirt and jeans and occasionally summer dress/ tee shirt dress, but sometimes I would love to channel my feminine side and this is it - long, flowy layered lace dress with high collar, big bow and brooch details in bold forest green colour. I can feel this dress is speaking to me through the laces and details.

To me, forest green is a very calming tropical colour which resembles both resilient energy and summer elegance. For someone who is not into loud colours like orange or yellow, I prefer this forest green lace dress if I were to channel my tropical vibes into colour. The layered laces flowing along my each movement reminds me of wind embracing tree leaves and I'm just feeling myself dancing with the wind.

I paired this lace long dress with a pair of white pointy toe pumps and some silver/transparent/white accessories so that it wouldn't be some loud pieces that tries to takeover my outfit spotlight. Green and white combination is just nice, like a breeze in the woods, don't you think so?

One of Neopolitan Italian pizza's features is thin crispy crust loaded with toppings in a typical 12inches diameter, and I read that this pizza portion size is just nice for one pax, but in my opinion, two person sharing one will be just right. And... we have 7 pax at the dining table that day. Hahahahahahah. Two pizzas is obviously aren't enough for all of us to fill up our starving tummy.

These pizzas taste delicious from inside to outside. It's loaded with loads of mozarella, fresh sauces and toppings of our choice. The cherrystone clams were fresh, tomato sauces from the Margherita were awesome, we just kinda stopped talking and focus on eating at that moment. 

I guess pizza will never taste the so amazing without a bunch of friends sharing with me on that day, and I hope Motorino will open up more branches around Malaysia and let people from all over get a taste of this famous Neopolitan Italian pizza.

Product Review: Matte Suede Creamy Liquid Lipstick from Orkid Cosmetics

Recent matte liquid lipstick hype is burning hot and wild and I couldn't escape from it too. I especially love these liquid lipstick from Orkid Cosmetics, they are matte, they are creamy for smooth application, the colours were intense, I can't help but trying to put these on my lips for every occasion and every outing every time!

I can't help but feeling like my makeup was on fleek everytime I put these on, this is so "Instagram Baddie" that I would've wanted to become occasionally! Maybe for some of you, you might be having chapped and dry lips all the time so here are some application tips for your "Instagram baddie lips" look:

• Smooth lips is like a perfect white canvas for ourself to paint on. So to ensure your lips aren't dry and chapped, make sure your body have enough daily water intake (dehydration might lead to dry lips) and lips exfoliation are done regularly. My easiest way to exfoliate lips WITHOUT lip scrub is: I brush my lips while I brush my teeth, twice a day. It kinda exfoliates my lips by brushing away those dead skin cells and improve lips blood circulation so my lips look fresh everyday!
• Apply Vaseline or coconut oil on lips before sleep. They will moisture lips throughout the night and lips look smooth the next morning.
• Apply thinnest layer as possible. The more you layered liquid lipstick on your lips, the easier your lips looks cracking and flaking. But with Orkid Cosmetics liquid lipstick, one layer is enough for my lips to look good!
• Concealer is your good friend! After applying liquid lipstick, if they aren't looking crisp and clear, use concealer and angled brush to drew the perimeter of your lips, making them look as sharp as you can.

Can you tell which are my fav? I personally like beige/brownish tone nude colour when it come to liquid lipstick, or something that is very very strong like black, blue, dark purple and holographic (I keep wanting a holographic liquid lipstick but I can't find any at Malaysia! Somebody produce it already!) Nude tones are for the casual and strong tones are for random occasions such as attending event or party.

First and foremost, I wanna say that they do not, I repeat, DO NOT dry out lips like some matte lipstick does. JC亂水Talk Show, Take A Shot Studio A

Last Sunday, I went to a talk show organized by JC Cheah who is a DJ from Ai FM ( Malaysia's national chinese radio station) and also secondary school friend of Fei. I met him only once and it was a short dinner session so when Fei first send me the promotional image of this talk show, I told him let's go and support your friend for his first talk show ever. 

So on this beautiful Sunday evening, we drove for almost an hour to reach the venue:

Take A Shot Studio Cafe located at Desa Serdang, which is a bit further inside The Mines Shopping Centre. It's a cafe with a studio (or studio with a cafe) with the studio located behind the cafe. If weren't for this talk show, I wouldn't even know this cafe's existence. 

They have this huge wall dedicated to Paper Shoot Malaysia, which is a customisable eco-friendly 5 million megapixels camera which you can print out into A4 sizing. For those who are into cameras and photography might feel this is a place for you because there are vintage cameras all around the corners of this cafe.

We were told that we can order food as dinner before the show start, hence we reach the cafe about an hour before show time but only to be told that they are unable to serve food at the moment. It must be due to the overwhelming crowd that their kitchen unable to handle the cooking situation, and worst case is there aren't any eatery located around within walking distance, so we watch the show with hunger that night boohoo. 

I guess it would be easier if they limit to certain food menu when it comes to event day and they could've easily sort out customers' order without overwhelming by all the orders. Easy food menu like spaghettis only and sides like french fries or wedges are some excellent choice. 

Our only option is order two cups of coffee and get a free cake:

About 8:15p.m, audience are invited into the studio and take their seats. It was a big studio and we saw a plain but aesthetically pleasing stage, waiting for speaker of the night to give it life.

Simple is beauty

Some of you may not know what are those two chinese words means, 亂 means messy, chaotic, when both words combined, it can mean a messy situation, a chaotic event, a confusing state etc. These two words aren't proper mandarin but a slang often used by Malaysia and HongKongese in daily conversations.



After knowing the meaning of those two Chinese words, it will be easier to understand that this talk show's topic is gonna be somewhat messy. Did I forget to mention that this is JC's very first talk show? It was his dream to organize such talk show with audiences buying tickets to see him talk about just any topic. It is very different from how he talk on air every morning.

Hi JC!

He actually did covered a lot of recent amusing happenings from SPM certificates to government taxes to politics to women issues and so on. Although he's skimming through from topics to topics ( due to his job I think it would be quite risky for him to discuss bout certain topic in depth) but everything was amusing.



Although this was his first talk show, I find myself enjoyed it very much. Especially as a Malaysian while being presented with tons of amusing national news on national news media (newspaper or radio) everyday, it's hard not to find all these topics funny at some ways. Last but not least he sang a song from Jackie Cheung as closing and marked the end of this talk show.



Ok probably you should just stick to doing talk shows instead lololol.

I listen to JC broadcast almost every morning but it does feel different to see him presenting his own talk show on the stage that night. I'm glad that he did well and I'm hoping he can organize more and more talk shows like this one and gradually get better and better like Dayo Wong 黃子華 from Hong Kong who is famous for his talk show.
