Essentials To My Summer Love

I was at Perth back in May and I can still recall the autumn chills I encountered. It was so cold in the middle of the night that I couldn't stop shivering while trying to stroll around the city. And that is exactly when I feel that summer may be the best season of the year. 

Everything about summer is happy (minus the bugs of course), the colours of blue sky and white clouds, green trees and grass, colourful flowers blooming everywhere. Not to mention the summer fun of parties and events, and some may say that summer is the best time of the year to fall in love. I wanna be in the summer lovin' too!

I wanna do everything I could with my summer love - we could do morning swim or night swim, eat chilled watermelon while looking at sunset, drink fresh coconut juice at this lil café beside the beach, listen to the cicadas sing in the forest, share an ice cream together, we could do picnic on a sunny Sunday morning and went for bicycle ride around the park during the evening. 

There are tons in the list I can list out what we can do but first - let's find myself a summer love! lololololololol. A girl can be anything but lazy. There are no ugly girls but only lazy ones. So these's are the essentials of boosting my summer charisma up in search of my summer lovin'.

From head to toe, morning to night

First and foremost, I'm not a sunblock version. I leave home without sunblock on and this has been happening ever since, and what makes me change my mind about sunblock and bought one is because of it's ingredients. I really really REALLY super hate sunblock that leave greasy texture on my skin as if my skin is unable to breath. Then one day, when I was reading ViVi magazine while doing my hair at salon, I saw their annual Cosme Award 2016 result and Bioré's sunblock has won itself in Top 3. So I'm thinking why not give it a try? It must be something that made it to Japanese favourite.

Lucky me I found the sunblock at Guardian same building of the salon I went and after the first application, I'm impressed. I'll never look at sunblock the same again. This Bioré Aqua Rich is so light-weighted and its watery-texture is my favourite. Barely feel a thing on my skin after application and it can be used as makeup base as well if you forgot to bring your primer.

So I've secured discovered the daytime good skin essential items, and night time is just about equally important as day because skin recover and rejuvenate best during sleeping hours and thanks to my teacher gave me this during my birthday, which is much needed as I just finished my night cream not long ago:

I've heard a lot of stories bout sleeping gel being ineffective, I've tried another brand from Korea which is true that I can't feel any difference after applying the sleeping gel hence I'm having this skeptical attitude towards this Hada Labo Koi-Gokujyun Perfect Sleeping Gel. The truth is: I was wrong. It is an all-in-one perfect gel which combines lotion, milk lotion, serum, cream and pack in one jar with rich hypoallergenic gel formula which contains super hyaluronic acid, ceramide, hydrolyzed collagen for firming, instant but long-lasting moisture.

It is a deeply moisturizing sleeping gel hence I try to apply only a thin layer on my face as I'm quite afraid of the greasiness but it doesn't appear to be oily. Its gel-like texture forms a thin layer on my skin and creating the firming and moisturizing action during my sleeping hours and I wakeup with soft supple and glowy skin in the morning. Thank you teacher for giving me such a wonderful present. 

Since my imaginary summer love will be doing a lot of outdoor activities with me (lolololol) , taking care of my feet is something I should do weekly or else my soles will be full of dead skin cells, slowly leads to dryness and crack sole. That's some ugly scene and I would not want this to happen to my feet.

I can still remember the first time I tasted pastries from Japan, it was some souvenir from my mum's friend who came back from Japan. I could remember how each and every bite is so fresh and satisfying despite the pastries are wrapped nicely in pretty plastic wrappings and probably been quite a while since they're manufactured. Nevertheless, the taste is what I couldn't forget, and ever since then I've been telling my friends that Japanese have the best pastries and I wanna know how they did it!

Of course, till this day I still don't know how they did it. lol.

Although I've never been to Japan, but Japan has brought itself closer to me. Hahahahaha. What I meant was that now I can enjoy Japanese pastries and I don't need to fly myself there! Thanks to Isetan Malaysia, now that both KLCC and One Utama's Isetan outlet has this:

Founded since year 1954, Châteraisé has been the best patisserie in Japan. Châteraisé, pronounced as Sha-To-Reh-Ze, has become a big hit in KL city and you can spot the long queue of people buying cakes imported directly from Japan daily. The outlet at One Utama has just recently open hence me and Peiyue went to the shop and bought ourselves some desserts after our meal.

There are too many choices and we couldn't decide which to get hence we get these two flavour. I like Crispy Chocolate Cake more than the Legendary Fresh Cream Cake as the rich chocolate taste and fluffy sponge are so well blended! Can I have the whole cake by myself? lol. 

Legendary Fresh Cream Cake was supposed to be one of Châteraisé best seller as they are proud of their fresh strawberries and cream but the frozen layer in between the sponge cakes is what makes me feel "eek". Me and Peiyue aren't even sure is the frozen layer supposed to be like how it was. lol. No doubt the fresh cream and strawberries are good but it's just the frozen part of the cake that I couldn't really accept it. lol. Shall try other strawberry cakes next time then.

Will You Come Sit Here With Me?

Me and my cousins spend our childhood imagining how our future husbands will look like. Some would want them to be as handsome as "Aaron Kwok" or "Jimmy Lin" which were our idols during the Sei Dai Tin Wong 四大天王 era. Some would want their husband to be as talented as them and so on.




As we grow older, me and my classmates would specifically state our requirements for our future boyfriend, such as height have to be 180cm, without glasses, tanned/fair skin tone, carries backpack and not sling bag like loansharks or ah bengs etc... We will set all sorts of criteria just wanting to find that someone who fits. And of course, in the end neither of us manage to get guys with abovesaid criteria lol. 　

As time goes by, I graduated from secondary school, went into college, expanded my social circles through college, mutual friends and modeling work to know that how funny it was to have criteria set on my future partner as life has so much more to offer. You'll only know what's best for yourself once you've seen it all. I wouldn't say I know each and every type of guys in this world but I believe I've seen enough to know which guy doesn't suit me.

I think what I want most is that someone who I'm comfortable traveling with. Someone who sees me as the focal of each and beautiful scenery we encounter. Someone who will argue with me which direction to go and end up at another unexpected location with adventure awaits us. Neither of us would blame each other for their silliness as we all know for each and every mistakes we make, there's a whole new journey in front of us waiting for us to discover.

• I hope he's someone who won't freak out when I say I want our vehicle pulled aside just because I wanna take a quick few shots of the panoramic green paddy field scene.
• I hope he's someone who will feed me their first bite of food or me to him whenever we try out new dishes.
• I hope he's someone who's willing to lie on the grass so that we could look at the blue sky and everchanging clouds despite our schedule sometimes.
• I hope he's someone who will smile looking at me when he saw the sparkles in my eyes whenever I saw exciting rides of theme parks or animals in the zoo. 
• I hope he's someone who will laugh at my low stamina but lend me a hand at the same time when we try to hike some mountains.
• I hope he's someone who will not panic when he sees I'm down with sickness or getting cranky during time of the month. 
• I hope he's someone who will show me his emotions and let me comfort him if things getting too stressful for him to handle. 
• I hope he's someone who will not diss my taste of road trip music selection and will try to listen to them as I will to his. 
• I hope he's someone who will lie with me on top of his car and watch the midsummer night starry sky. 
• I hope he's someone that I won't have to constantly put down my own needs to please him in whatever encounter we had. 

Imagination may be too good to be true, but I shall have faith that one day there'll be someone who is willing to stop everything he's doing and come sit down with me and watch the sky with me.
